A Fife firm has been rewarded for its ethical and green credentials by landing a trilogy of honours in the National Energy Efficiency & Retrofit Awards (Scotland).
Crossgates-based Crossgates Gas, which specialises in gas services and maintenance, was awarded the Bronze accolade in the Regional Energy Advisor of the Year, Regional Boiler and Heating Installer of the Year, and Regional Project of the Year (under £250k) categories of the inaugural awards – set up in 2015 to recognise the businesses helping to cut energy bills, tackle fuel poverty and reduce carbon emissions.
Since its inception nearly 13 years ago, Crossgates Gas has diversified to meet the changing needs of the marketplace and now offers a one-stop-shop for green gas services – specialising in boiler repairs, eco-friendly boiler installation and central heating, as well as no-call-out-fee appliance servicing.
This is the third round of awards for the business which, after becoming a Green Deal installer, won the Scottish award for Boiler and Renewables Installer of the Year in the Green Deal and Eco Awards 2015.
Owner Pedro Tang said: “Naturally, we are delighted to have been recognised as a Green Deal installer committed to helping homeowners and businesses reduce fuel poverty and save money on larger properties.
“We take great pride in helping our customers save money and to become more energy efficient.
“It’s thanks to them that we have made this roll of honour.”
Crossgates Gas advises its customers on cost effective and energy saving solutions and can help to signpost homeowners and businesses to avenues of funding.
