Scottish entrepreneurs have a new resource in the form of a digital magazine, launched earlier this week.

Scottish Entrepreneur magazine is a quarterly publication featuring interviews with high profile entrepreneurs, comments from market insiders and insights from support organizations.

“Owning and growing your own business is our generation’s dream and Scotland is one of the best places to make it happen, that’s why we launched the magazine,” editor Kim McAllister said.

“Our first issue includes exclusive interviews with Sir Tom Hunter, Peter Vardy, Lesley Eccles (from FanDuel) and the ladies behind the Cheeky Chompers dribble bibs, Julie Wilson and Amy Livingstone.”

Kim, an experienced magazine editor, has joined forces with Mike Watson, publisher of Scottish Business News Network (SBNN) to create a central hub for the Scottish entrepreneurial ecosystem.

“This is a new venture for us, so in a way, we are also a start-up,” Mike said. “We are not affiliated to anyone, so we can objectively report on the events, the guidance available and the reality of life as an entrepreneur. We want to give a platform to the start-ups and represent the whole community – we have columnists from the coalface and always welcome input.”

The first issue is now available for £3.75 and is delivered instantly to the buyer’s inbox.

“We’re confident it will not only be a great read, but an important business development tool,” Kim said.

“We initially put together a 30 page promo issue which you can download for free and it was very well received. We’re excited about the opportunities for the Scottish entrepreneurial community and the feedback so far has been that an independent magazine like ours is very welcome.”
