Delivering profitable numbers safely is a primary objective for all businesses and Donna created Quensh in 2006 to do just that. Donna started Quensh as a Sole Trader in 2006 because she felt she could offer the market a pragmatic alternative to manage their Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) responsibilities and the existing advice on offer to companies in the north-east was outdated.
With her skills and expertise in the development and implementation of Business Management Systems and Auditing her service offering quickly grew through word-of-mouth and client recommendations which in turn lead to an expanded offering including Supply Chain Assurance and HSEQ training both in the UK and Internationally.
Recognising the growth potential, Donna with support from 2 experienced industry professionals transferred Quensh to Limited Company status and began to build up the staff base increasing from 3 employees in April 2010 to 14 in March 2013 and regularly achieving double digit growth in turnover and profit within the same period. In 2014 Quensh turned over £1m for the first time.
As the business grew strategically, Donna recognised her core strengths related to operations and client management and identified it was time for Quensh to engage a Managing Director who was appointed in April 2015 to drive the business forward locally, regionally and internationally.
As Operations Director and recognised as a specialist in her field, Donna was one of the youngest in Scotland to achieve Chartered Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and is regularly asked to speak at seminars and conferences including Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce – International Seminar
Operational Considerations when working in Iraq, British Safety Council – Aberdeen & North East Scotland 2016 Annual Conference – How the HSEQ profession should be adding value to an organisation,IOSH 2015 Annual Conference – Does Health and Safety Profession have the leaders it deserves?
