Led by Lucy-Rose, in summer 2015 Entrepreneurial Spark also launched its first global venture, Entrepreneurial Spark Powered by Viridian, in India to help entrepreneurs across the country, with a second Hatchery in the country opening shortly afterwards.
Specialising in marketing coaching and innovative thinking, Lucy-Rose has been involved in a long list of business startups over the space of more than a decade, with a strong creative focus and attention to creating something new and innovative to disrupt the marketplace.
Lucy-Rose has previously managed the Connect Scotland technology business network and was responsible for co-ordinating The Gathering, a Scottish event for the third sector, in 2009. She was also a director of Panalba, a social networking website.
Entrepreneurial Spark has been working with key partners such as Royal Bank of Scotland, NatWest, Ulster Bank etc and is a not for profit organisation that reinvests any profit back into the businesses it supports through events and awards.
Entrepreneurial Spark is currently in a high growth period, with nine new Hatcheries opening in the last 18 months in Birmingham, Bristol, Brighton, Belfast, Leeds and Manchester, with Cardiff, Newcastle and Milton Keynes opening in August 2016, in addition to the original Edinburgh, Glasgow and Ayrshire Hatcheries. A further Hatchery in London is set to open in 2017 and the first two international Hatcheries opened in India in 2015. Each Hatchery supports up to 80 entrepreneurs, with a new cohort joining twice a year.
The CEO has ambitious plans to create a £20m social enterprise within five years, striving to reach even more startups and encourage a new generation of entrepreneurs to achieve their business goals.
