Ryan is a director at Scottish law firm Aberdein Considine with responsibility for marketing the firm’s three divisions – property, legal and financial services.
In the past 12 months he has led the rebranding and repositioning of the firm in the market – and despite the downturn in the firm’s key north-east market, his content-driven marketing strategy has increased new business enquiries by 70% and has almost doubled the firm’s web traffic.
Prior to joining Aberdein Considine in October 2014, Ryan enjoyed a successful media career with the Press and Journal, where he rose from trainee through to Chief Reporter and latterly Business Editor.
He was named Scotland’s Young Journalist of the Year in 2008 and Scottish Business Journalist of the Year in 2014.
The 31-year-old has also written for various other Scottish and UK titles, including The Scotsman and The Independent.
