New business golfing format arrives in Scotland

Building on the success of the national five-a-side tournament, Business Fives, which has raised over £5,500 for charity partners in the space of just 8 months, Business Fours has now launched.

With the distinct aim of bringing companies across Scotland closer together with a unique networking formula whilst raising money for charity Scotland’s national business golf tournament starts with its links season coming this Spring.

Maintaining a company commitment to donating ten percent of all proceeds to charity Business Fours is working with charity partners the Yard in Edinburgh and Beatson Cancer Charity in Glasgow.

Chief Executive of The Yard, Celine Sinclair, said: “We are delighted to have the support of Business Fours and would encourage local businesses to get involved with this fantastic tournament. The Yard will greatly benefit from your generosity, which will enable us to support more disabled children, young people and their families through our adventure play services in Edinburgh, Dundee and Fife.”

The founder has already forged some fantastic links with industry partners like the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce, ScotlandIS, Scottish Property Federation and Scottish Financial Enterprise for the financial services heat. Graeme Jones, CEO at SFE explained their partnership “SFE is delighted to be the industry partner for Business Fours Financial Services Heats. This is an excellent opportunity for team building with colleagues, networking with others in the industry, all whilst raising money for charity.

“Building on the huge success of the football equivalent Business Fives, Business Fours broadens the opportunities to golfers in your company, to experience a bit of friendly competition within the Scottish financial services industry and the wider business community. The national tournament has 6 industry qualifying heats taking place across Scotland’s east and west coasts for enabling companies to meet other likeminded professionals in a relaxed environment.

The financial services heat takes place at the stunning Craigielaw Golf Club, located on Scotland’s golf coast in East Lothian on March 9 th. The west coast heats are being held at this years Scottish Open venue, Dundonald Links ahead of the national final at St Andrews Fairmont on May 24 th.
