Glasgow Chamber of Commerce has confirmed that The Royal Bank of Scotland is to be the headline sponsor for The Glasgow Business Awards 2017 as the deadline for entries quickly approaches.
The financial institution will be sponsoring the event in its 20th anniversary year, supporting the ceremony which will be held on October 5 at the Hilton Glasgow.
Organised by Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, the Awards are now open for entry across 13 competitive categories. Judges from The Royal Bank of Scotland will also select a winner for the Most Outstanding Business category.
Also up-for-grabs once again is the Evening Times Award for Glasgow’s Favourite Business, which is also open for nominations.
Stuart Patrick, Chief Executive of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce said: “We’re immensely proud to welcome The Royal Bank of Scotland as our headline sponsor, a true testament to the prominent standing of The Glasgow Business Awards.
“The Royal Bank of Scotland is one of the biggest names in global finance whilst also working with thousands of SMEs across the West of Scotland to support growth and drive investment.
“With the Awards recently launching, we are reaching out to companies to put themselves forward and hopefully, collect a trophy on the night.”
Malcolm Buchanan, Chairman of Royal Bank of Scotland’s Scottish board, said: “As a supporter of customers, communities and businesses across this city since our first branch opened at High Street on 15 September 1783, The Royal Bank of Scotland is delighted to become a key partner and headline sponsor of The Glasgow Business Awards.
“These awards offer an opportunity to celebrate the wealth of skill and depth of talent which exists here in Glasgow and offer a platform to showcase the qualities and resources which have made it a capital of enterprise for generations.
“We are sure this year’s event, which marks the 20th year of the Awards and The Royal Bank of Scotland’s 290th anniversary, will be a great success.”
