Following the recent investment in Innis & Gunn by one of the world’s largest consumer goods private equity firms, L Catterton, the craft brewer has strengthening its Board with three new appointments – Crawford Sinclair, Jean-Philippe Barade and Caroline Folleas.
Crawford Sinclair, current Director of UK Sales, has almost twenty years’ experience in the beer industry, in a number of senior on and off trade roles and joined Innis & Gunn in 2010 to establish a new UK sales function.
He has made a significant contribution to the growth of the business, including the successful launch of Innis & Gunn Lager, which in just three years has become the number one craft lager in Scotland, and the fastest growing lager in the Scottish market. Under Crawford’s leadership the UK market has grown to represent over half of Innis & Gunn global sales.
Crawford will continue to lead the UK Sales Team, and the Board will benefit from the wealth of his experience to continue building a strong domestic market.
Crawford commented “It goes without saying that I am absolutely delighted to join the Board of Innis & Gunn. Our ambition to grow the business is hugely exciting, and my goals are to strengthen our position in the UK market by building Innis & Gunn Lager into the number one premium lager brand in Scottish on-trade, and leverage our unique portfolio of beers, backed up with excellent customer service and a brilliant team of people, to build distribution and sales across the UK.”
Jean-Philippe Barade, Partner and head of the London office and Caroline Folleas, Investment Director have joined the board from L Catterton.
Tony Hunt, chairman of Innis & Gunn said “Jean-Philippe and Caroline bring to our Board L Catterton’s enormous experience of successfully building consumer brands, in the UK and overseas and their expertise will help us to accelerate the growth of the brand internationally.”
