Investing Women will be running two events in Aberdeen on 12th December to encourage more Scottish women to get involved as angel investors in conjunction with Aberdein Considine.
Attendees will hear from some of the current angel investors on their route to investing along with Polly Van Alstyne from Scottish Bioenergy will share her story and how investment has helped her move her business towards success.
Jackie Waring, CEO of Investing Women said “It would be a huge benefit for the Scottish economy to have equal participation by women as well as men in the business angel community. Scotland’s most innovative, high growth potential companies often need the backing of angels to get their products to market. Our community is at the front line of Scottish innovation; helping finance exciting companies. We’ve made a significant impact at Investing Women but there’s a long way to go yet and many more women then they realise could be in this exciting space.”
