Australian multinational Computershare has welcomed its first IT apprentices to its Global Technology Centre (GTC) in Edinburgh.

The eleven apprentices have joined the company to start their careers as IT Service Desk and Operations Analysts, going through an in-house Training Academy and working alongside experienced Analysts and Team Leaders.

Mark McDougall, Global Chief Information Officer at Computershare, said: “The arrival of apprentices at our GTC marks a new chapter in Computershare’s Edinburgh story.

“We’re determined to bring on the next generation of talent and will provide full career and training pathways for our young starters so they can learn and grow within the company.

“As our global business evolves we will look to welcome more bright individuals into our technology teams in Edinburgh to expand our cutting edge, dynamic operation in the city.”
