A £2.4 million refurbishment of Dundee hotel, Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa, has been completed.
The hotel, consistently voted number one on TripAdvisor for Dundee, has seen all 151 bedrooms and suites throughout the hotel transformed, alongside an update to the leisure facilities.
The investment – which is part of a £15 million package of improvements across the Apex Hotels portfolio – follows another consecutive year of strong growth for 2016-17, with a six per cent rise in turnover – up to £65m from £61.3m the previous year.
The hotel refurbishment has also seen the leisure facilities upgraded, with the Ozone pool and large hot-tub area perfect for guests and visitors to relax and unwind.
The revitalised bedrooms, public areas, gym and spa are part of the ongoing investment from Apex to create a modern space within easy reach of all that is going on in the city of Dundee.
Angela Vickers, CEO of Apex Hotels, said: “We’re delighted to see the multimillion pound refurbishment of our Dundee property finally complete, helping to transform the property and ensure Apex guests receive our signature warmer welcome.
“With so much going on in the City of Dundee, our seven figure investment will only enhance our offering further for both guests and those using our spa and leisure facilities, and with further work earmarked for our conference and events space, both local businesses and those further afield will be well catered for, no matter the event.”
As part of the £15 million refurbishment programme, improvements are also underway at two further Edinburgh Apex hotels – Haymarket and Waterloo Place – as well as Apex Temple Court Hotel, in London.
