Entrepreneurial Scotland has appointed Robert Kay as regional development manager for the Highlands & Islands.
Robert, from Nairn, previously worked in banking with RBS and later with Bank of Scotland, setting up their Private Banking Office in Inverness. His appointment marks Entrepreneurial Scotland’s expansion in the region as it works to encourage greater collaboration amongst entrepreneurs locally.
Robert Kay Regional Development Manager Entrepreneurial Scotland, said: “The Highlands and Islands is widely recognised as an entrepreneurially minded region which contributes enormously to the prosperity of Scotland. I’m looking forward to promoting the fantastic benefits entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs can enjoy when they become involved with Entrepreneurial Scotland.
“Being an entrepreneur can be challenging and lonely at times. Entrepreneurial Scotland provides a valuable network of like-minded people who can share experiences and learn from each other. I’m sure the organisation will become a valuable source of networking, advice and learning for many business leaders locally and encourage greater collaboration amongst entrepreneurs.”
Entrepreneurial Scotland Commercial and Membership Director, Cathy Craig said: “There is a lot happening in the Highlands and Islands but we need to help the entrepreneurial movement become much more visible at a local level as well as a national level.
