Glacier Energy Services has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MAKO Oilfield Services to support the growth of Glacier’s onsite machining products business into the US.
Glacier will be providing a fleet of its cutting and bevelling machinery, namely the Clyde and LC Clyde machines, to MAKO for rental into the local market, with MAKO acting as the local service provider in both North and South America.
The agreement comes as part of Glacier’s growing internationalisation, as it moves to increase its on-the-ground global footprint, working with its existing bases across the UK in Aberdeen, Methil, Glasgow, Birmingham and Newcastle, as well as established partnerships in the Middle East.
Duncan McDougall, managing director, Glacier Energy Services, said: “This agreement is integral to Glacier’s continued internationalisation strategy. MAKO brings a wealth of experience in providing solution-led technical services to customers and we look forward to working together and developing the partnership further in the future.”
Steve Lykins, president, MAKO Oilfield Services, commented: “We see great potential in this market and Glacier’s superior product range, together with strong technical know-how, provides a strong offering for our customers in the Americas.”
