Glasgow-based ClassForKids develops Australian market

Glasgow-based technology firm ClassForKids, has further strengthened its international presence by developing the Australian market following the roll out of a new contract with global children’s franchise, Cricket Tots.

Over the past three years, ClassForKids has been providing its cutting edge online booking and payment platform to Cricket Tots franchisees across the UK and a recent expansion sees the company implement its system into yet another international territory.

The Scottish startup has already expanded into New Zealand earlier this year and has future plans to launch in the USA, India and China.  The firm is also backed by some heavyweight investors and has grown rapidly by 40% in the last six months alone.  Its booking and payment system now allows parents across Australia to book their Cricket Tots classes online and automate their processes.

Lucy Fitzgerald, franchisor for Cricket Tots commented: “Rolling the ClassForKids platform out to our franchisees in Australia has been the next logical step for us.  Prior to ClassForKids we used spreadsheets to manage bookings and processes, which made the process over-complicated and clunky.  Since implementing the new system everything is so much more streamlined and it pretty much runs itself.  We’ve managed to speed up the booking and payment process for our UK franchisees and we’re now looking forward to replicating that across our Australian network.

ClassForKids’ online booking platform is now used by hundreds of thousands of parents internationally, to organise and pay for children’s activities.

Nikki Th’ng, entrepreneur and co-founder of ClassForKids spoke about the firm’s plans to take the business global: “The way that people transact and pay for children’s activities translates worldwide. We’ve already broken into New Zealand with our platform and that’s really taken off, plus a number of our larger franchisees have networks in the USA, China and India too.  We’ve already been asked to expand our operations into these countries, so it’s only a matter of time before we are operating in these regions too.”

Pablo Ettinger, investor for ClassForKids and founder of coffee chain giant, Caffé Nero, is backing the company on its global quest and believes it has real international potential: “The children’s activity market is vast and continues to expand globally, for ClassForKids the potential to become a worldwide leader in this field is a very real possibility and that’s very exciting for all involved.”
