Judy Murray headlines at ASB Annual conference

Judy Murray, a name you would normally associate as being the mother of tennis superstars Andy and Jamie Murray, but on 5th June she will be the keynote speaker at the Association of Scottish Businesswomen’s annual national conference titled “Unstoppable women” at the Perth Theatre.

An inspiration and recognised and respected person in her own right Judy has done wonders for women’s sport and for women full stop.

An exceptional tennis player with 64 national titles to her name, Scottish National Coach in 1995, the same year that she became the first woman to pass the Lawn Tennis Association’s Performance Coach Award. She initiated the Scottish Development School programme  and in 2011 Judy was appointed Captain of the British Fed Cup Team and used this role to grow the profile and numbers in women’s tennis across players and coaches. Judy has developed several tennis initiatives including Miss-Hits, Tennis on the Road and most recently, She Rallies, a programme with the LTA, to encourage more women and girls into tennis across the UK

Speaking about the conference Judy said “I’m so looking forward to the ASB Unstoppable Women Conference. I’m a huge believer in bringing women together to share ideas, create networks and to learn from each other’s experiences. And this sounds like the perfect opportunity to do all of that”.

Also joining the conference is national speaker and author of two highly acclaimed books Dr Suzanne Doyle-Morris of InclusIQ Ltd.  Suzanne routinely facilitates and leads sessions at a range of FTSE 100 companies and is interviewed regularly by the press for her views on workplace diversity issues.  Her academic background and expertise regarding gender in the workplace make her one of the most credible speakers on the challenges . . . and opportunities … for today’s working woman and how to succeed.

A choice of practical workshops for business owners and women at every stage in their career are featured as well as opportunities for networking

With the previous annual events proving extremely successful, everything is in place for an even bigger and better experience.
